Undoubtedly, this is one of the best walking areas in the Dales with Lady Anne Clifford way passing through the village plus the well known triangle walk, taking in the villages Cray and Hubberholme; The Millennium Trail to Starbotton, meandering back along the the banks of the river Wharfe. The village itself offers a variety of pubs within walking distance and a village store but there is plenty of scope to explore the local area. Grassington is a short drive away, famed for its Dickensian Christmas celebrations and the summer festival, or Hawes, the home of Wensleydale cheese.
