This fully-refurbished, modern, detached cottage is in the historic coastal fishing village of Isle of Whithorn. Close to the sea, this cottage also has expansive inland views of the gentle farmland of the Machars Peninsula. The cottage offers modern comfortable accommodation comprising two bedrooms, a double and a children's bunk bedroom, a sitting room with dining area and French doors opening to the front of the property. At the rear is an expansive shared lawn which is ideal for either children to play in or for the grownups to soak up the tranquillity of the surroundings. The atmosphere is enhanced by the harbour of Whithorn which boasts a hotel offering good food and a welcoming bar as well as a general store with a Post Office. This is the ideal location to explore this historic corner of Scotland with Mesolithic and Iron Age Forts, ancient standing stones, chapels and castles. Scotland's famous book town of Wigtown is close by, as are the sandy beaches and forest parks which offer the complete holiday for the whole family.
