Summary: The hotel location is great! Close to a bus line and an easy walk to several tube lines, the hotel is on a quiet street. The neighborhood has many good restaurants with a lots of variety, laundrettes, grocery stores, bars, pharmacies, etc. There is an elevator in the hotel but there are several steep steps up to the front door, and several units have interior stairs up to them, so do be sure to ask before booking. Our unit was a reasonable size (hotel rooms in London are notoriously small) and had a well-furnished kitchen with full sized dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and two burner stove. The bed, however, was an old-fashioned double (smaller than a queen). We had a washer/dryer combo but it was a small capacity and took quite a while to complete a cycle. We learned to put it on the quick cycle but it still took several drying cycles to completely dry the laundry. Nevertheless, an in-unit laundry was very handy. Cleaning service is only done once a week, but trash was emptied daily and towels were replaced upon request. We stayed for two weeks and found it to be a pleasant pied-a-terre in London at a reasonable (for London) price. If one is arriving from Heathrow, the Heathrow Express takes you directly to Paddington Station in a short time. Paddington Station is quite close to the hotel, making for a convenient connection by bus (three stops) or walking.
